Former Tennessee basketball standout signs with the Lakers
After two seasons with the Northern Colorado Bears, Dalton Knecht has found a new home with the Tennessee Volunteers. The 6'7" forward is expected to make an immediate impact for the Volunteers, who are looking to improve on their 19-15 record from last season.
Knecht is a skilled scorer and rebounder who can also step out and hit the three-pointer. He averaged 14.5 points and 7.8 rebounds per game for the Bears last season, and he was named to the All-Big Sky Conference Second Team. Knecht also has a strong work ethic and a winning attitude, which should make him a valuable addition to the Volunteers' locker room.
The Volunteers are excited to have Knecht on board, and they believe he can help them take the next step as a program. The Volunteers open their season on November 9th against the Mercer Bears, and Knecht is expected to start at power forward.
